All renters must maintain valid liability insurance that meets Texas state minimums. Depending on your personal policy limits, you may be required to purchase an additional Damage Waiver (DW).
Proof of Coverage: If you cannot provide a physical or digital insurance card, you must purchase a ZB Auto Spot damage waiver.
DW Constraints: A minimum rental period of three (3) days applies to all rentals requiring a damage waiver.
Restrictions: Credit card “rental coverage” alone is not accepted as primary liability. Your insurance policy must have been active for at least 30 consecutive days prior to the rental start date.
Every renter and additional driver must present an original, valid driver’s license at the time of pickup.
International Drivers: Holders of international or out-of-state licenses may be subject to additional verification and a surcharge. Please consult with a ZB representative after booking for specific documentation requirements.
The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 years old.
Young Driver Fee: Drivers aged 21–24 will incur a mandatory “Underage Surcharge” of $24.99 per day.
Class Restrictions: Drivers under 25 may be restricted from renting luxury vehicles or large passenger vans.
ZB Auto Spot accepts major credit cards and debit cards with a Visa or Mastercard logo.
Prohibited Payments: We do not accept cash, prepaid cards, gift cards, or online-only “neo-bank” cards (e.g., Chime, Varo) for security deposits.
ID Match: The name on the payment card must exactly match the name on the driver’s license.
To ensure safety and security, all renters are subject to a background check.
Credit Card Users: Screening is provided at no additional cost.
Debit Card Users: A non-refundable $25 processing fee is required for the background check.
We welcome debit card rentals provided the following criteria are met:
Payment of the $25 non-refundable background check fee.
A minimum rental period of three (3) days may be enforced at the manager’s discretion.
Successful completion of the security screening.
A refundable security deposit is required for every rental. The amount varies based on the vehicle class and payment method. Deposits are released upon the safe return of the vehicle, though your bank may take 3–5 business days to reflect the balance.
Standard Vehicles: Cancel at least 24 hours before pickup for a full refund.
12- & 15-Passenger Vans: Cancel at least 48 hours before pickup for a full refund.
Same-Day Bookings: Deposits for reservations made within 24 hours of pickup are non-refundable.
Mileage: Enjoy unlimited mileage within the United States.
Out-of-State Travel: If you plan to drive outside of Texas, you must notify ZB Auto Spot during the booking process. Unauthorized out-of-state travel will result in a contract violation and a fee of $250+.
Prohibited Zones: Travel into Mexico or Canada is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of the rental and loss of deposit.
Responsibility: Renters are 100% responsible for all tolls, parking tickets, and traffic violations. Unpaid fines will be billed to your card on file plus a $35 administrative fee per occurrence.
Smoking Policy: All vehicles are 100% Smoke-Free. A cleaning fee of up to $300 will be charged if any evidence of smoking (including e-cigarettes/vape) is found.
